About Our Firm

Established in 2000, The Private Equity Finance Institute (PEFIN) is one of the oldest and most sophisticated financial training programs in the world, offering specialized instruction in the areas of principal investing and investment banking. Our team of training instructors has an average of 20 years of work experience and a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in the banking and finance industry. In the past, PEFIN has worked with a number of individuals, professionals, students, and corporate clients; in providing them with the technical knowledge and practical expertise necessary to originate, structure, and execute a typical buy-side investment (LBO) or sell-side transaction (M&A). As a value-added service, PEFIN also provides professional staffing assistance for corporate clients; in addition to career counseling for students enrolled in accredited colleges and universities, looking for a permanent, part-time or internship position in principal investing, investment banking, or corporate finance (interview preparation, resume appraisal and career guidance). In general, PEFIN's student-body is comprised of industry professionals (75% or more), as well as university students, entrepreneurs, and people in career transition (25% or less); with prior professional and/or academic experience in one or more of the following areas:

PEFIN's lecturing staff (training instructors and teaching assistants) is composed of a small team of seasoned professionals with a combined experience of nearly 100 years in the banking and finance industry. Our training instructors have credentials from the leading investment and financial firms on Wall Street, as well as from the top business schools around the country. In addition, and as part of our corporate policy, we require all of our training instructors to have a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience; in addition to a considerable amount of buy-side and sell-side transactional work and leadership record, acting as principals and/or agents. PEFIN also maintains a high-degree of quality control in its classrooms, by monitoring our teaching staff in order to ensure the highest level of education, training, and transfer of knowledge. The Private Equity Finance Institute (PEFIN) was formed by two highly regarded investment professionals, who first pioneered the principal investing training industry in the year 2000. Shortly thereafter, in 2001 PEFIN acquired Wall Street Education Corp (WSEC), a small but reputed investment banking training firm based in New York.
